Digital X-rays

The newest technology in radiography are digital x-rays. Digital x-rays reduce the amount of radiation used by 90%. The digital image takes about 10 seconds to appear on the monitor. This larger image can help the patient understand the doctor’s explanations more easily and enables the doctor to zoom in on a specific part of the tooth. Digital x-rays are environmentally friendly also, because no chemicals are needed for development of the image. top of page

Veneers

An excellent alternative to crowns, veneers can perfect your smile by masking stains, hiding chips, correcting misalignment, instant orthodontics (close spaces) and creating uniformity. Veneers, which are made of thin, customized material designed to slide over the teeth, look incredibly natural, are long lasting, and are relatively easy to apply.

Bonding

Stained, chipped, cracked, or misaligned teeth can dull your smile, but bonding can quickly and painlessly restore your smile’s natural beauty. During the procedure, a thin coating of plastic or resin is painted over the damaged teeth and then reshaped, strengthening them and making them virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. To find out if bonding is the right option for you, please contact us. top of page

Composite (Tooth-colored) Fillings

In the past, cavities could only be treated with unsightly metal fillings. Today, modern, tooth-colored fillings made of durable resin or porcelain can be bonded to your teeth for a stronger, more natural-looking effect. These revolutionary fillings are virtually undetectable and are easy to apply. They also prevent further injury to the teeth. top of page

Teeth Whitening - Zoom!

Zoom! uses a combination of formulated lighting and hydrogen peroxide-based solution to whiten teeth—typically by six to 10 shades—in one brief office visit. With simple, regular home touch-ups and careful maintenance, a beautiful Zoom! smile can last indefinitely. Zoom! Whitening Gel is carefully applied to the enamel (the tooth's protective coating) and heated by a special Zoom! Whitening Lamp. After one hour, the gel is removed and a five-minute fluoride treatment is administered. The end result is brighter, whiter teeth that are essentially free of coffee, tea, soft drink, wine, or tobacco stains. top of page

Invisalign

Invisalign is a revolutionary way to help you get even, straight teeth without using noticeable metal braces. Virtually undetectable, Invisalign aligners are made of strong, clear plastic that gradually guides your teeth into perfect alignment. Unlike metal braces, they have no wires or brackets on which your lips or gums can snag. During your first evaluation, the dentist will help you determine if Invisalign is a good option for you. She’ll then design a treatment plan and take tooth impressions, from which Invisalign will develop accurate, personalized tooth-straightening devices, called aligners. Aligners slide directly over your teeth and are replaced every two weeks as your teeth shift into place. Depending on your case, you will wear them full-time (except when eating or drinking) for 12 to 36 months. top of page

Dental Implants

Dental implants attach artificial teeth below the gumline using an anchor. The anchor holds the implant in place, allowing excess bone and gum to grow around it. The end result is a strong, secure tooth that is virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. Because dental implants require surgery, they are intended only for candidates with sufficient bone and healthy gums. For more information about dental implants, please contact us today. top of page

Bite Appliances (NTI)

Excessive clenching, grinding, or poor bite alignment can strain your jaw joints or injure your teeth, causing discomfort and, often, severe pain. Dizziness, ear pain, head and neck pain, chewing difficulties, muscle soreness, and even throat pain may surface as the condition worsens. To correct such problems, we offer a variety of fixed and removable bite appliances, including the NTI appliance. When worn, the NTI prevents teeth from touching one another, ultimately relaxing the jaw muscles and alleviating pain. To learn more about bite appliances, please contact our practice today. top of page
